Emotional Intelligence 101: Confidence Through Self-Awareness

Emotional Intelligence is the capacity to be aware of, manage and express your emotions, and handle relationships (interpersonal and business) wisely and empathetically. As times get more complex and the pace of change accelerates, people are feeling more anxious, stressed, fearful and unstable. In this current climate, as business leaders, we are being asked to be thoughtful and act fast.
Before anyone can be great at anything, they must be great at knowing themselves. Life happens. You internalize it. Your understanding of that experience is what we call an awareness of self. When you disassociate from your thinking in order to observe your thoughts, you are able to identify and change the negative patterns that hold you back.
This course will help you increase your understanding of self and others so that you can be in control of your state, behaviour and your actions.
In any given day, we go back and forth between heightened and lowered states of self-awareness. Emotional Intelligence provides the tools to halt the momentum of a downward emotional spiral.
We have a conscious mind and a subconscious mind. Each may pull you in two different directions, causing you to take one step forward and two steps back, preventing you from reaching your higher potential. The tools that you will learn in this workshop will help you uncover your blind spots and assumptions that you may not be aware of on a conscious level. There is a fine balancing act between the heart and the mind, between emotion and reason. This balancing act is Emotional Intelligence. This is never attained, but maintained.
